Learn the unique art of silk painting with me. Silk is a versatile medium which provides a lustrous background to beautiful and brilliant colours.
\n\u00a0<\/strong>There are multiple methods of silk painting that you can learn with ease.<\/p>\n

    \n
  • The serti technique is the magical flow of water-based silk colours guarded by the gutta resist.<\/li>\n
  • The anti-diffusant technique is the mixing and blending of hues resulting in your own unique piece of art.<\/li>\n
  • The use of salt and alcohol on your silk also creates special effects giving the piece a new look.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Apart from creating framed pictures, you can also learn to make your own personalized gift items such as scarves, handkerchiefs, and others by using methods of ice dying and batik.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    Materials required:<\/p>\n

    Students must bring their own material. These are easily available in various art and craft store or could be purchased online.<\/p>\n

    A basic start up kit would consist of the following:<\/p>\n

    • Adjustable wooden slotted frame<\/li>\n
    • Silk pins<\/li>\n
    • Silk material<\/li>\n
    • Gutta resist contour outliner<\/li>\n
    • Water based silk colours or dyes<\/li>\n
    • Paint brushes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      These can also be provided by the instructor on request, at purchase cost.<\/p>\n<\/div>
